We're packing!

I don't think the kids really want to be boxed up, but they humored me for this picture. The movers come one week from today...so it's definitely down to the end. It's pretty hard to get anything done with the babies around, but we've had some friends from church take them here and there for several hours at a time to let us pack...that has been so helpful. Our house in Florida is being worked on...it will be fun to get there! We are having the kitchen redone so Home Depot was our hang out several times last week.

Going to the tea room

I should be packing right now....but it's fun sharing my life with people who are interested! Anyhow, Kylie and I went with her friend Allison and her mother, Rachel, to Mrs. Hardesty's Tea Room yesterday afternoon. It was fun to get out and let the girls be girly...Kylie had a fudge chocolate brownie and hot chocolate (after getting chocolate ice cream for a prize at Kline's with her class earlier in the afternoon)...needless to say I told her to not ask for dessert last night. :)

This picture is a couple weeks old, but it gives a little idea of what they look like now. They had their two month appointment last week... Matthias is 13 pounds and Leighton is 9 lbs 14 ozs. This past week was insane....everyone but me and the twins got a fever/stomach bug. We're starting to pack now!! 3 weeks until the movers come.

JMU girls reunion

There are eight of us who graduated from JMU in 1996 who try to get together once a year to spend some time....hanging out, visiting, sharing and praying with one another. Only six of us made it this year (we missed you Anners and Heather!). We spent the weekend at Cricket Cottage (Thanks Marsh fam!)....it was a blessing for me to have many helpful arms to hold the twins...and to have some much needed and enjoyed conversation and fellowship. Tom had the three older children for the weekend, which he likened to a vacation. :)

I cannot believe yesterday was the six week mark!! The babies are doing great..they are really starting to chunk up. Matthias seems to be keeping a good two pounds or so ahead of Leighton. Leighton is definitely getting some cheeks which is fun to see. I've been really blessed with a bunch of sweet ladies from church who have been coming over and helping out with babies... watching them while I take a nap or feeding one baby while I feed another - they have definitely made the transition easier for me. We are read for spring here. Josiah has started up with t-ball and he and Kylie are both taking golf lessons this month. The next month and a half of our time in the 'burg is going to go fast!

Fun with cousins!

We were up in Northern VA for a long weekend this past weekend. My brother and his family were in town. We only see them once or twice a year, but when we do the kids get along so well and have a great time playing. It was nice to have some extra arms to hold the babies, feed them, and change some diapers, too.

Matthias and Leighton are looking more and more different every day. They are both filling out some and are having bigger times of being awake and alert during the day. Night time is still difficult, but we're getting into somewhat of a routine of feeding and burping and changing. The other day AJ was on the potty and needed help and both babies were hungry, so I ended up making two bottles....Josiah fed Matthias, Kylie fed Leighton, and I got to help AJ in the bathroom. Life is definitely a bit crazy, but we're making it work....only by God's grace, that's for sure. :)

Matthias and Leighton

here they are....Matthias is generally more alert than Leighton - Kylie says that he has laser eyes, b/c they are so big and wide. The second picture is before their first sponge bath at home...they didn't like it very much. :) Night time has been tiring, but everyone is really doing well!
