Silly video from some silly kiddos

Saturday Fun

We had a great day today! We slept in, yeah!! We also went to the park and came home all muddy so that all 5 kids had to take a bath! We built forts and then cleaned them up and then built them and cleaned them up all over again! It was just a fun, fun day! It was good to laugh a lot and not have anything scheduled to do. Here are some highlight pictures.
A very intense game of battleship!
All 5 kids being silly on the couch - the babies were just up from their nap.

Sweet Singing AJ

AJ wanted to sing some songs for her Mom & Dad - she is the sweetest little girl!

Mirabella Home Update #3

Today is Kylie's 9th birthday and we had a great time of celebrating! Kylie is a sweet, sweet girl and her helpfulness has been a huge blessing to Briton and I this week. At any time we don't know what we should be doing, we can always count on Kylie to point us in the right direction. She has been so cuddly and sweet with her siblings while Mom & Dad are away, I don't know what they or we would do without her!
Here she is getting ready to head to school with the cupcakes she made and decorated!

Kylie wanted waffles for her birthday breakfast and Mr. Briton was happy to make them!
The twins decided to climb into a big chair together and read to eachother. It was sweet.
We had some time alone with just the three babies and here I am supposedly reading to them but as you can see, they each had a book and were sort of babbling to me. It was funny!
Close-up of the sweet boy Matthias
Here is Kylie with all of the cards, presents, balloons and candy that arrived today! She was excited when she came home and saw it all there!

Some more pictures!

This is one of the missionay's daughter's piano books. Kylie, it was exactly like yours but a different color and in japanese!

This is what oven's look like in japan. They are stand-alone appliances which is very different than ovens in america!

We went to an english bible study yesterday morning and spent some time with some japanese nationals...it was a wonderful time of meeting people and learning about how they came to faith or how they're wanting to learn more. Less than 1/2 of the group are Christians.

This is the top of a toilet. Amazing and increidbly efficient. You wash your hands while the water is refilling up the tank! (a bigger shot is further down)

These 2 t-shirts cracked us up at the dept. store yesterday. We're told that they are "engrish" t-shirts, people just enjoy wearing shirts with any english words written on them.

funny. :)

Here's the full shot of another toilet.

Rev. and Mrs. Hirohashi took us to a japanese garden and green tea ceremony....here is the lady showing us how to turn our tea bowls to admire the pictures on the bowl.

This was my sushi lunch...it was delicous! Food is like at art in Japan, everything is so beautifully presented.

Rev. and Mrs. Hirohashi took us to a sushi restaurant after the english bible study yesterday. He has been pastoring in Makuhari "bay town" for 10 years now.

Mirabella Home Update #2

We have been having lots of fun the last few days. The kids are doing really well. They are missing their Mom and Dad a lot but continue to love eachother well and keep us laughing. Here are some recent pictures:
Leighton and Jonah have a sweet relationship. She is always patting him on the head or rubbing his hands and he loves it!

Matthias greeting Kylie after she came home from school. He LOVES his big sister!
AJ and Josiah spent some time making birthday cards for Kylie. Here is AJ showing off all of the stickers that she used!
Leighton randomly lies down on her stuffed puppy anywhere and just rests for a few minutes and then gets back up and carries on. It is the sweetest thing. Here is one that I caught on camera.
Matthias using the phone, no doubt he is calling Mommy.
A morning game of memory.

Sweet little Matthias getting ready for nap time.
Josiah playing his favorite computer game.

The three little kids enjoying a drink on the couch.
